Successful Exhibition and Latest Photography Trip

Two of the photographs we submitted to the Pier Arts Centre Annual Open Exhibition in December 2021 were sold – Painting with Light at the Totem Pole in Monument Valley, Utah, and the Grand Canal at Sunrise, Venice. It’s quite fascinating that it’s not the local scenes that attract attention at this exhibition.

We have just come back from a photographic trip to a lighthouse retreat with Worldwide Explorers – Mc2 Photography. The weather was not great, but the lighthouse keepers cottage was cosy, warm and clean, the food and hospitality were very good as was the company – a small group of four photographers plus our Mc2 Photography hosts.

The Orkney Islander tourist magazine and the Orkney Creative Trail brochure are both in their final stages of update for 2022, and we will be featured in both of these publications again this year, and we are looking forward to seeing visitors at the gallery.
